Meet the Team

We’re a small team but dedicated - each with our own connection to brain injury and a shared passion for creating change. Together, we combine lived experience, creativity, and purpose to lead Brain Injury Tribe forward

  • Founder/President

After surviving a severe traumatic brain injury, I was left with fluent aphasia and epilepsy. I lost pieces of my past - but gained a deeper perspective. I created Brain Injury Tribe to build the kind of community I once needed: one led by survivors, rooted in empathy, and focused on progress. Communication looks different to me now. I speak through action, connection, and the rhythm of rebuilding - one step at a time.

  • Vice President

I’ve spent over a decade working in healthcare settings that support individuals with neurological and developmental challenges. My background includes working with children on the autism spectrum and serving as a medical interpreter in neurological rehab centers for the past seven years. These experiences have taught me a lot about resilience, compassion, and the importance of clear communication in care. I’m grateful to serve and support the Brain Injury Tribe’s mission and hope to contribute in a meaningful way—by listening, learning, and helping our community however I can.

  • Secretary

I am a mother of five beautiful children, a Registered OB/GYN Nurse by profession, and the proud wife of a stroke survivor. Walking alongside my husband through his recovery has deepened my passion for supporting others in similar journeys. Being an active part of the Brain Injury Tribe is an incredible privilege. This community opens doors for survivors, helping them navigate life after brain injury with hope, resources, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
